Read a direction, then examine its conditions
The Tower describes a disruption that exposes a weak assumption or unstable arrangement. The important detail is what the event makes impossible to keep pretending. Begin with what is true now; meaning and rebuilding do not have to arrive at the same moment.
Use an outcome position responsibly
An outcome card can summarize where a pattern seems to lead if relevant conditions continue. It cannot guarantee an event or tell you what another person will choose.
- Name the present pattern that the card appears to describe.
- Consider what could disrupt or complicate that pattern: Reversed, warning signs may be prompting a controlled change, or fear may be keeping an unsound structure intact. The card does not require a catastrophe to make its point.
- Identify a choice that remains open to you: Stabilize the immediate problem, then identify the assumption that needs rebuilding.
