Seven of Cups as Outcome

Read a direction, then examine its conditions

The Seven of Cups opens several attractive or unsettling possibilities at once. Imagination is active, but the options may not be equally real, available, or desirable. Give each possibility a name and examine its terms before allowing the most vivid image to choose for you.

Use an outcome position responsibly

An outcome card can summarize where a pattern seems to lead if relevant conditions continue. It cannot guarantee an event or tell you what another person will choose.

1. Name the present pattern that the card appears to describe.
2. Consider what could disrupt or complicate that pattern: Reversed, a confusing field may be narrowing into a choice, or fantasy may be avoiding a decision altogether. Clarity grows when you check an option against the life it would require.
3. Identify a choice that remains open to you: Choose one option to investigate and identify what you would need to verify before committing.
