The King of Swords applies reason and a clear standard to a consequential decision. Expertise matters when it can explain itself and remain accountable. Use the authority of a well-supported argument rather than assuming the most confident voice has the soundest judgment.

Use an outcome position responsibly

An outcome card can summarize where a pattern seems to lead if relevant conditions continue. It cannot guarantee an event or tell you what another person will choose.

1. Name the present pattern that the card appears to describe.
2. Consider what could disrupt or complicate that pattern: Reversed, intellect may be used to dominate, justify a preferred result, or conceal a double standard. A rigorous decision should survive questions about both its evidence and its effects.
3. Identify a choice that remains open to you: State the standard, apply it consistently, and explain the conclusion in terms others can inspect.
