Explore the motive without assuming it
The Six of Pentacles examines how resources, help, and opportunity are distributed. Giving and receiving can support a fair exchange, but the roles may carry different amounts of power. Look at the terms of the help as well as the goodwill behind it.
Look for intention expressed through choices
An intention is a possible direction of effort. It becomes easier to assess when a person states it and follows through.
- If you are reading for yourself, name what you want to bring about and why.
- If you are asking about someone else, separate what they have said from what you hope or fear they mean.
- Look for a repeated choice that supports the stated intention, and leave uncertainty visible where it remains.
