The Magician as Outcome

Read a direction, then examine its conditions

The Magician asks what you can do with the resources already on the table. Attention, language, practice, and timing become effective when they serve one purpose. This is less about wishing successfully than making an intention visible.

Use an outcome position responsibly

An outcome card can summarize where a pattern seems to lead if relevant conditions continue. It cannot guarantee an event or tell you what another person will choose.

1. Name the present pattern that the card appears to describe.
2. Consider what could disrupt or complicate that pattern: Reversed, presentation may be outrunning substance. An impressive pitch needs evidence; unused ability needs a task. Check for divided attention, exaggerated promises, or influence being used without honesty.
3. Identify a choice that remains open to you: Choose one available tool and use it to produce a small, finished result.
